increase - two stitches in next (or indicated) stitch

thread painting - a technique in which multiple threads or strands are used
to create subtle shading, gradual color changes or other effects

treble crochet - yarn over twice, insert hook into next (or indicated)
stitch, draw up a loop, (yarn over pull through 2 loops) 3 times
yarn over - put the yarn over the hook
