The FDA approval of MiniMed's pre-filled insulin cartridge is expected
to be
delayed to late 2001 or early 2002 because the
company needs to conduct a
seven-month clinical trial, ING Barings LLC analyst
Kevin Kotler said in a report.
Approval had been expected in mid-2001. Approval of
MiniMed's consumer
glucose sensor also is expected to be delayed until
the second quarter of 2001
from the first quarter, Kotler said in the report.
