co więcej problemy z komunikacją lekarz-pacjent są wszędzie.
Sugerowanie, że jest to "wada" jedynie polskich lekarzy to błąd ...

Drama for doctors

"Notions of scientific objectivity sometimes make demands on doctors that
divorce them from the reality of patients' lives and bodily experiences.
Medicine is not a pure science, and medics need to nurture their
interpretive skills and accept the subjective elements of their
profession.especially in the interface with patients who might be very
different from themselves. Medicine was .performed. totally differently 50
years ago and it will be performed differently in the future, so it makes
sense to not leave this to chance or a sense of .natural. development. We
can cultivate an articulate and self-aware response to changing times. In
my view, a poetic understanding of the body as physically expressive can
sit beside a scientific model of analysis without compromising it. Indeed,
this approach can improve the experience of a consultation for doctor and
patient.
By recognising professional behaviour as performance, a self-awareness can
be opened up, a space for reflection that brings with it a possibility for
change and improvement. Conventions become open to question,
institutionalised codes of behaviour can be challenged, alternatives can
be rehearsed. Perhaps an engagement in the arts can also help medical
students to retain a fundamental sense of themselves, offering the
possibility of some autonomy amid the sometimes overwhelming pressures of
medical tradition and the forces of commerce, politics, and culture"
